Cari
Marie Glancy began
dancing at the age of five with Carol Young, owner of
the Carol Young Dance Studio. She has also trained with
Tina Decker and Diane Campbell of the Technical Dance
Studio. Ms. Decker has traveled extensively throughout
Europe performing “Cats”. Diane is the former
instructor of a student named Tara Patrick, who is currently
known as Carmen Electra.
Cari
began dancing competitively at Carol’s working her
way up from various dance lines to finally joining the
Superettes. Their group won numerous awards from regional
and national competitions, becoming the best of the best.
While
in high school, Cari was hired to perform dance routines
at the LaBoom Room at Waterfront, a disco which highlighted
some of the better dancers from the local area. Cari’s
dance partner was Tara Patrick.
Cari
has also worked as a Smurf cartoon character and for Showstoppers
Entertainment.
Always
the performer, Cari enjoyed cheerleading and was a member
of her school squad from fifth grade to her senior year.
She was co-captain of her Hamilton High squad which won
many awards during the four years she participated. Cari
also served as choreographer for the Fairfield West Elementary
Dance Program.
Today,
Cari is devoting all her energies into making the JCA Dance
Academy the best it can be!
